Dr. Misa

Faculty PI/Director: Dr. Misa Faezipour 

Dr. Misa Faezipour is an Associate Professor in the Department of Engineering Technology at Middle Tennessee State University. She is the director of the Systems Engineering Lab (SEL). Systems Engineering Lab is located at Davis Science Building, room number 146 (DSB 146).
Dr. Faezipour's research interests lie in the broad area of system dynamics modeling, complex systems, sustainability, product and process management optimization, and applications of systems engineering in various areas such healthcare systems. She is a member of INCOSE, IEEE, IISE, INFORMS, ASEM, and System Dynamics Society professional organizations and societies.

Ahmeed Adekunle Yinusa
Ahmeed
Ahmeed Adekunle Yinusa is a Ph.D. candidate in the Computational and Data Science at Middle Tennessee State University. He received a National Diploma in Electrical Electronics Engineering from Lagos State Polytechnic, Lagos, Nigeria in 2006. He also received a BSc in Applied Physics Electronics in 2010, and a MSc in Systems Engineering in 2015, both from the University of Lagos, Nigeria. His graduate thesis at the time was “The Development of an Integrated System for Pipeline Vandalism Detection”. Ahmeed graduated with a MSc in Engineering Technology and Industrial Studies from Middle Tennessee State University. He is a Graduate Research Assistant since Fall 2020 in the Engineering Technology Department. His Graduate research thesis at MTSU was “The Application of Systems Engineering to Address CKD Healthcare Disparities using System Dynamics Modeling”. He is a member of IISE and the System Dynamics Society (SDS).

Lateefat Kikelomo Amao
Lateefat Kikelomo Amao

Lateefat Kikelomo Amao is an M.S student in Healthcare Informatics at the Middle Tennessee State University. She received her first degree in Medicine and Surgery from Olabisi Onabanjo University, Ogun State, Nigeria, in 2011. She received a master’s degree in public health (MPH) from the University of Manchester in 2017.
Lateefat is currently working as a Graduate Assistant since Fall 2022. She has vast public health experience working at the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) as the National Incident Manager for the country’s Monkeypox Technical Working Group and the Team Lead for the National Public Health Risk Assessment Unit.

Ashiat Adeogun

Ashiat Adeogun is a M.S. student in Healthcare Informatics at Middle Tennessee State University. She received her first degree in Computer Science from Lagos State Polytechnic, Lagos State, Nigeria in 2010. Ashiat received a master's in Applied Data Analytics from Data ScienceTech Institute, Paris, France in 2022. She is currently working as a Graduate Assistant since January 2023. Ashiat has worked in various companies as Data Analyst and Business Intelligence Analyst. She has vast experience working with analyzing, modeling, and visualizing data.

Damilare Ogungbesan

Damilare

Damilare Ogungbesan is an M.S student of Healthcare Informatics at the Middle Tennesse State University. He received his bachelor degree in Electronic and Electrical Engineering from Ladoke Akintola University of Technology, Oyo State, Nigeria in 2007. He received his master’s degree in Business Administration from Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-ife, Osun State, Nigeria in 2013 and he received another master’s degree in Data Analytics from Data ScienceTech Institute, Sophia Antipolis, France in 2021.

Damilare is currently working as a Graduate Assistant since August, 2023. He has a good combination of technical and commercial skills having worked with different multinational organizations in the engineering and IT sector. He also has a wealth of international experience having worked in different countries across different continents. He worked as a Business Intelligence Analyst in France before joining MTSU. His area of expertise is data transformation, modelling and visualization. He enjoys creating meaningful insights that inform sound decision making from raw data.

Mary Adeyemo
Mary Adeyemo

Mary Adeyemo is a M.S. student in Healthcare Informatics at Middle Tennessee State University. She received her B.S. in Tourism Management from Redeemer’s University, Nigeria in 2010 and her M.S. in Tourism and Events Management from the University of Bedfordshire, United Kingdom in 2013. Mary is working as a Graduate Assistant since Fall 2022. She has experience working as administrative personnel across various capacities in Nigeria.

Oladunni Oyedotun

Oladunni

Oladunni Oyedotun is a M.S. student in Healthcare Informatics at Middle Tennessee State University. She received her bachelor's degree in Medicine and Surgery from the University of Ibadan, Nigeria in 2011. She obtained a masters of Public Health with concentration in child and adolescent health also at the University of Ibadan in 2017. Due to her interest in nutrition in vulnerable groups she obtained a MSc in Clinical Nutrition at the University of Aberdeen, Scotland in 2022. Oladunni is a family physician with a vast experience in clinical practice, spaning over a decade. She is a member of the West Africa College of Physicians. She is passionate about using technology to tackle the inefficiencies in healthcare system and promote healthy communities. Oladunni is excited about her new role as a Graduate Assistant starting Fall 2023.

She received her bachelor's degree in Biochemistry from Lagos State University, Nigeria in 2015, and worked as a Lab Assistant at the AMC Hospital. Eunice is working as a Graduate Assistant since Fall of 2023.

Betelhem Bulcha

Betelhem (Betty) Abera Bulcha has been a M.S. student in Engineering Management at Middle Tennessee State University. She received two B.S. degrees in Civil Engineering and Management from Unity University and Admas University in Ethiopia in 2021. She completed her B.S. thesis on "Assesment of acceptance of prefabrication building technology" in Addis Abeba, Ethiopia. Betelhem worked as a Graduate Assistant Fall 2021-May 2023. Her research was focused on holistic approach to effectively identify common risk factors of maternal mortality in population affected by health disparities from a systems engineering perspective. Betty is currently a Projet Analyst at Turner & Townsend.

Aishat Adegboye has been a M.S. student in Engineering Management at Middle Tennessee State University. She received her B.S. in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Federal University of Technology Minna, Nigeria in 2015. Aishat worked as a Graduate Research Assistant from Fall 2021-May 2023. She has experience working as a Metering Engineer in Abuja Electricity Distribution Company, Abuja, Nigeria. Her research was on effects of screen time on young children from a systems engineering perspective. Aishat is currently a Manufacturing Associate with Alcon Company.

Keerthi Reddy Chaduvula Venkata is a M.S. student in Healthcare Informatics at Middle Tennessee State University. She received her undergraduate degree in Bachelor of Dental Surgery and worked as a dentist in India and has three years of experience working in this field. Keerthi has also worked as a Marketing Intern with Aramark at MTSU.
