My life never seemed that interesting; I suppose because it is mine. As a child, I traveled the midwest on a renovated school bus with my mother and father. My father and his brothers had a slightly popular country and western band, which is how we ended up in Nashville. After going to schools in suburban Oregon and rural Minnesota, I graduated from McGavock High school. I was intrigued by the differences in the curriculums from one state to the next. And, when I returned to higher-education after having to children, I found myself drawn to the structure and organization of chemistry. Chemistry helped me make sense of the chaotic world, and now I enjoy assisting others in finding the underlying interactions of matter in the world around us.
