Yes. MTSU is recognized as a CFA Institute Affiliated University. Through this affiliation, M.S. in Finance students benefit from a curriculum closely tied to professional practice and may be eligible for a limited number of CFA Program scholarships. The program provides a strong foundation for the CFA exam and serves as a valuable stepping stone toward becoming a Chartered Financial Analyst. However, additional focused study and completion of all CFA Institute requirements are necessary to earn the CFA charter.

The online M.S. in Finance program is designed to be completed fully online. Courses are delivered in a flexible format, with a mix of synchronous and asynchronous components. Many classes include live, virtual sessions held via Zoom on Tuesday and Thursday evenings from 6 to 9 p.m. CT, making it easier for full-time working professionals to participate. While not every course is synchronous, these live sessions are a key part of the learning experience. Most faculty also record live classes. If you’re unable to attend a session, instructors are typically flexible and work with you to stay on track.
