Evaluated transcripts
For all colleges or universities you have attended outside of the U.S., submit a transcript that has been evaluated course-by-course by a member organization of the National Association of Credential Evaluation Services (NACES). This review of your educational history will determine how your experience translates into the U.S. equivalents for degrees earned, years of study completed, credit hours, and grade point average.
English proficiency test scores
International applicants must demonstrate English proficiency by submitting official test scores from either TOEFL or IELTS. The scores are not required if English is the native language of the country of citizenship or if the applicant has earned a bachelor’s or master’s degree from a U.S.-accredited four year college or university.
TOEFL
- TOEFL-computer based minimum score: 195
- TOEFL-paper based minimum score: 525
- TOEFL scores should be sent directly to MTSU by ETS.
- We ONLY accept ETS official test scores for the TOEFL.
IELTS
- Overall score of 6
All international students are encouraged to submit their application as early as possible to provide enough time for the additional governmental processing of immigration documents and issuance of visas or other scholarship-related applications.
