Welcome to the Master of Science in Finance (M.S. in Finance) program from Jones College of Business at Middle Tennessee State University (MTSU)! We’re excited to have you in the program. To help prepare you for the M.S. in Finance program, please review this page to find the answers to some frequently asked questions including how to register for classes, how to get your BlueID, and which courses you should take and when.

DegreeWorks is an online tool that provides up-to-date monitoring of your academic progress. This tool shows you what classes you need to take in order to graduate and how close you are to degree completion.

Desire2Learn (D2L) is MTSU’s learning management system. Each of your courses at MTSU will be hosted on D2L. Your professors will post lectures and communicate with you using D2L, and you’ll have the opportunity to communicate with your peers via discussion boards.
The BlueID is your MTSU photo ID, which gives you access to campus services and various in-person amenities. You will need to have one to gain access to the library, computer labs, recreation center, sports events, and more. The cost of the ID is included in your tuition.

The M.S. in Finance is a cohort-based program that can be completed on a full-time or part-time schedule. Students must complete 33 credit hours to earn their Master of Science in Finance.
