Activities to Date

• Passed a Black Lives Matters statement of support (Fall 2020) 
• Developed a section of the department website devoted to resources promoting student engagement and awareness of social issues (Fall 2020) 
• Created a standing committee (as opposed to an ad hoc committee) comprised of faculty, students, and staff who are committed to issues of diversity and inclusion (Spring 2021)  
• Organized and co-sponsored Dr. Kecia Thomas’s Distinguished Lecture Series talk on diversity in academia. (Spring 2022)
• Continues to sponsor the Diversity, Inclusion, and Student Success: Pathways to Graduate School and Beyond symposium (2021-present)
