Advisor Mastery Program (AMP) Workshops

These workshops will focus primarily on advisor skill-building and knowledge-building. Potential topics include:

• Technical/Software/Administrative skills (Excel, TEAMS, ARGOS, reading high school transcripts, etc.)
• Advising approaches and best practices
• Legal/Ethical issues in advising
• Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion

Workshops will be offered twice a month, and will generally be worth 1 point (unless otherwise stated). Workshops will vary in terms of being offered in-person or via zoom.

We will start with examples of how people use Excel for Caseload Tracking and Maintenance. Advisors will present their caseload tracking spreadsheet as examples: Janell Fisher, Jenn Waite, Sarah Fossett, and Shannon O'Malley.  

Bonnie McCarty will lead a brief Excel training to cover basic functions related to creating and maintaining a caseload spreadsheet she will show how to pull the report from Argos and build a Caseload spreadsheet with all the tricks and gadgets to manipulate the data.

Erin Arnold will show how to utilize this caseload list to create campaigns in Navigate. We will send a First Gen Student Communication together to our own students. She will teach us how to save searches and reports in Navigate so it is available whenever you need it. She may cover Automation if there is time!
