Randolph, Danny E.

CW3 Danny E. Randolph came from a military family.  His father, Rev. David Randolph, served in the United States Air Force, and his older brother David was in the United States Navy. Danny was an experienced Blackhawk pilot with the l-230th Assault Helicopter Battalion with the Army National Guard, who served for over 13 years. He achieved the rank of Chief Warrant Officer 3 and had over 6 years of impeccable experience as a helicopter pilot. He also worked as a full-time Technician as a Maintenance Test Pilot with the Army Aviation Support Facility #1 in Nashville, Tennessee.

Danny’s love of flying came at an early age after his father took him and his brother for a private flight lesson with an instructor from the Gallatin airport. From that day forward, he would tell anyone who would listen that he would one day become a pilot. After graduating from Gallatin High School he enrolled at Middle Tennessee State University in the Aerospace program.

Moving from planes to helicopters, Danny graduated from flight school at Fort Rucker, Alabama, in September 2016.

CW3 Randolph died in a helicopter accident in Alabama on 15 FEB 2023.
