The 2024 Fox Reading Conference
Language Variations: Dialects, Multilingualism, Developmental Language Disorder, and Dyslexia
The 2024 Fox Reading Conference explored protective and risk factors associated with language variations. This theme continued our longstanding commitment to support educators in leveraging their students’ diverse strengths and addressing their weaknesses to elevate learning. Nationally recognized language and literacy experts were featured as they shared their expertise and unique perspectives on the intersection of bidialectalism, multilingualism, developmental language disorder (DLD), and dyslexia. They explored the unique nature of each as well as their intersections. More than 200 educators attended the conference on MTSU's campus. Nearly 1,000 educators from across the state, around the country, and all over the globe attended the conference virtually.
This FREE, two-day conference was made possible with the support of the
Tom and Elizabeth Fox Endowment for Reading and the generosity of this year's sponsors
