2006 Inductee Jack K. Westbrook
Mr. Westbrook lives in Knoxville and was educated at the University of Tennessee in Knoxville, where he received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Journalism in 1949.
Mr. Westbrook is a member of the National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors, the American Society of Financial Service Professionals, and the Knoxville Estate Planning council.
Mr. Westbrook’s industry achievements are very impressive. He has been a highly productive and consistent life insurance producer throughout his career, excelling in every phase of professional performance. He qualified for the Million Dollar Round Table (MDRT) in 1957, the first Knoxville agent to qualify in the first full year of business, and he became a Life Member of the MDRT in 1960, the first Knoxville agent to receive Life Membership.
Mr. Westbrook has been an avid supporter of professional associations throughout his career. He served as President of the Knoxville Association of Life Underwriters in 1963–64, and as President of the Knoxville Chapter of the Society of CLU and ChFC in 1967-68. He was Vice Chairman of the Committee on Public Relations for NALU (National Association of Life Underwriters) in 1974-75, and then Vice President and Membership Chair of the Tennessee Association of Life Underwriters (TALU) in 1979-1980. Under his leadership, TALU membership reached 4460, highest in Association’s history. Due to his reputation for leadership and credibility, he was elected President of the TALU in 1980-81, and was named TALU “Man of the Year” for significant contributions in 1985-86. Mr. Westbrook was President of the Knoxville Estate Planning Council in 1986-87, and he was a 20-year qualifier for the National Quality Award.
