Description:

The science of biology continues to have a profound impact on the quality of life on Earth. Given the environmental, bioethical, and medical challenges that currently face society, it is vital that individuals be capable of critically analyzing biological and scientific information, determining its relevance and validity, and utilizing it to make informed decisions on issues that affect their lives.
