  • Quantitative Literacy (Quant Lit) (3 hours)

    • The TBC outcome for Quantitative Literacy: Students demonstrate the ability to interpret, represent, calculate, apply, and analyze numerical data in a variety of settings, and will make assumptions and communicate those assumptions based on quantitative information. 

Description:

Pre-Calculus Building a solid mathematics background can seem like a daunting task, but it is critical to success in any STEM profession. A pre-calculus course can serve as a good first step in this process. MATH 1730 gives you a chance to master important concepts like linear, exponential, and trigonometric reasoning --- all vital foundational skills for developing quantitative reasoning in the sciences. This course also gives you the chance to see just how useful quantitative reasoning can be in everyday life.
