This session will provide an overview of issues related to mental health conditions that may be observed through communication or behavior, which may bear on interactions inside and outside of the classroom, and in matters relating to Title IX.  

Dr. Laura McGuire is a nationally recognized presenter and inclusion consultant.  She founded the National Center for Equity and Agency, which works with companies and institutions to increase retention, safety and inclusion.  In 2015, she served as the first Sexual Violence Prevention and Education Program Manager at the University of Houston, and in 2017, she became the first Victim Advocate/Prevention Educator at the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy.

Participants are encouraged to bring their lunch. Drinks and dessert will be provided.
