More Details

Are you interested in integrating Open Educational Resources (OER) in your courses, but overwhelmed by the process? This interactive presentation will focus on how you can start locating and vetting OER for your courses. We will review some high quality repositories as well as an OER checklist that can be used as you make selections. The resources and information provided will apply to any OER selection process, but you should come prepared to start selecting resources for a specific course that you teach.

Note: This workshop is the fourth in a series of workshops on using OER as a tool for increasing access and inclusivity in support of Quest 2025 and in fulfillment of a recent TBR grant.

If you're looking for some just-in-time training or want to dig a little deeper into a specific topic of interest, MTSU subscribes to both Teaching Professor ("reflects the changing needs of today's college faculty and the students they teach") and Academic Leader ("reflects the evolving needs of academic deans, department chairs and heads, program directors, and others with leadership responsibilities") online publications. If attempting to access either publication off-campus, you'll be asked to enter your MTSU credentials.

If you have an idea for a potential future workshop, please feel free to send your suggestions to Dr. Lando Carter.
