Accessibility in OER Design
Fall 2023
More Details
This is a first in a series of four presentations on OER, Accessibility, and meeting student needs. Join us for a discussion about how to design or adapt open educational resources so they are more accessible for all learners. We’ll share tools and best practices from a training that we participated in this summer by ISKME & CAST. We'll provide time at the end to work on and develop an accessible item.
Please bring your laptop and syllabus with you to best utilize the time together. If you do not have a digital version available, a print copy will also work for notes for the future.

This workshop is available in person and virtually. The Zoom information will be sent 24 hours in advance.

If you're looking for some just-in-time training or want to dig a little deeper into a specific topic of interest, MTSU subscribes to both Teaching Professor ("reflects the changing needs of today's college faculty and the students they teach") and Academic Leader ("reflects the evolving needs of academic deans, department chairs and heads, program directors, and others with leadership responsibilities") online publications. If attempting to access either publication off-campus, you'll be asked to enter your MTSU credentials.
If you have an idea for a potential future workshop, please feel free to send your suggestions to Dr. Lando Carter.
