You are invited to join a group of colleagues who will be reading and discussing the book Teaching Naked Techniques: A Practical Guide to Designing Better Classes, by José Antonio Bowen and C. Edward Watson.  

The publisher’s website describes the book as follows:

Teaching Naked Techniques is a practical guide of proven quick ideas for improving classes and essential information for designing anything from one lesson or a group of lessons to an entire course. Teaching Naked Techniques helps higher education faculty design more effective and engaging classrooms. By rethinking the how, when, and why of technology, faculty are able to create exponentially more opportunities for practical student engagement. Student-centered, activity-driven, and proven again and again, these techniques can revolutionize your classroom.

The group will be facilitated by Barbara Draude and will meet three times:

  • March 12, 19, 26
  • 3-4 PM
  • LT&ITC, Library 348  

Each participant will be provided with a copy of the book in advance of the first meeting.  

Participation is limited; if you are interested in joining the group, please register as soon as possible.

If attempting to access either publication off-campus, you'll be asked to enter your MTSU credentials.
