Round Table Discussion Description: This session will present current research and pedagogical practices in foreign language teaching and learning in higher education. In recent years, foreign language pedagogy has taken on an integrative approach wherein traditional teaching methodologies are being reevaluated to accommodate new and innovative methods such as digital-portfolios, flipped classrooms and online performance-based assessments that did not exist until a few years ago. In this round table discussion, foreign language faculty from six language areas (Spanish, French, Japanese, Portuguese, Italian and Chinese) will share the latest pedagogical practices from their respective language areas.
