The following are new scholarships available for adult learners.
Mary Cone Barrie Scholarship for Lifelong Learning, sponsored by Destiny Solutions -; Destiny Solutions created the Mary Cone Barrie Scholarship to applaud the efforts
of two exceptional lifelong learners. The annual scholarship is available to any currently
enrolled non-traditional learner residing in Canada or the United States who has changed
their life and the lives of others through lifelong learning.

The Osher Reentry Scholarship -; This scholarship is designed for nontraditional students who are entering college for the first time or returning to college. You must have been out of school for a cumulative 5 year gap, demonstrate financial need, and have a desire to complete your first undergraduate degree. It will award $5,000 for full-time enrollment during 2011-2012 and partial scholarships may also be awarded for part-time enrollment. At least one class must be taken either on the campus or hybrid each semester you are enrolled.
Ruth Houston Memorial Scholarship -; The Murfreesboro Branch of the American Association of University Women will award a $1,000 scholarship each semester "Fall 2011 Semester and Spring 2012 Semester" to the MTSU undergraduate student who best demonstrates academic promise and financial need. To be eligible for consideration, applicants must have successfully completed their freshman year at MTSU. Returning adult students, in particular, are encouraged to apply. The scholarship is renewable each semester as long as full-time status and a 2.5 GPA are maintained. Application materials are due April 1.
