Faculty Advising in Economics and Finance
Did you know you can have two advisors! Most students don't realize that students in the Jones College can have primary advisor in the College's advising center AND a faculty advisor. These people have very different roles and are very useful in different ways and at different phases of your academic career.
Your primary advisor in the advising center on the second floor of the Jones College building (BAS) can help you map our your full plan to graduate with the right courses, evaluate the pros and cons of different majors depending on your interests and strengths, and help you make sure you take the right courses in the right order. CLICK HERE to visit the Jones College advising center to learn more or set an appointment.
Your faculty advisor / mentor can help you evaluate the different career tracks in your major, discuss job opportunities, connect with possible internships, and get you involved in clubs, field trips and other opportunities in your field of study.
To find out who your advisors are, log into PipelineMT and select "Registration and Student Records", then use the button on the right that says "Assigned Advisor(s)". If you don't have a Faculty Advisor assigned, please visit the Economics and Finance office and request one!
