The CBAS Development Officer is responsible for all aspects of fundraising for the College of Basic &  Applied Sciences. Duties include raising funds for scholarships,  professorships, building projects, and capital campaigns. Most importantly, the Development Officer facilitates relationships with donors, which leads to larger gifts in the future and also helps build a history of giving to Middle Tennessee State University.

The Administrative Associate to the Dean is responsible for coordinating and providing administrative and secretarial support to the office of the Dean. The Administrative Associate serves as a resource to the eleven reporting departments and four centers within the College and is also responsible for researching policies, procedures and guidelines, coordinating and reconciling foundation budgets, overseeing work presented from Chairs for accuracy and coordinating/planning special events and projects.

The Executive Assistant for the college provides secretarial and clerical support to the associate dean of the College of Basic and Applied Sciences and to the directors of the following graduate programs: M.S. in Professional Science, Ph.D. in Computational Science, Ph.D. in Mathematics and Science Education and Ph.D. in Molecular Biosciences. She is responsible for assisting with the coordination and planning of special events and projects in the college including the MSPS internship presentations, the MSPS and PhD budgets, monitoring the MSPS and PhD web pages, assisting students with application and registration processes, ordering for the programs and maintaining student files.

The Technical Manager is responsible for the daily management of MTSU’s Interdisciplinary Microanalysis and Imaging Center (MIMIC) core facility for microscopy and other characterization equipment. Her responsibilities include overseeing the daily operation of MIMIC, maintaining instrumentation, training new users, managing the accounting of MIMIC; assisting with teaching the microscopy courses, and, as time permits, service and contract work.
