Court of Traffic Appeals

Time ExpiredWelcome to the SGA Court of Traffic Appeals Online. The purpose of our web site is to enhance the services we provide to students of MTSU. We have provided a number of resources here to help you resolve problems, file appeals, obtain COTA decisions, submit comments, and suggest ways to improve our service to the university community. This page is designed to help make the citation appeals process at MTSU as convenient as possible.

Appeal a Parking Ticket

On this site, you may file a student parking ticket appeal or read the court's decision regarding your appeal. The burden of proof rests with the student filing the appeal. Parking tickets can only be voided for one of these reasons:

  1. An emergency situation occurred hindering proper parking and resulting in a citation.
  2. An erroneous citation was given to the student.
  3. A student receives a “No Campus Permit” violation and was parked in the appropriate lot according to the student’s MTSU issued decal.

Notification of the appeal decisions will occur online (decisions will not be given out over the telephone). It is the responsibility of the student filing the appeal to go online and find out the result of an appeal. The decisions are available approximately one week after the appeal is filed.

For more parking information, visit the Parking Services web site. There you can view information on parking notices, regulations, shuttle information, and campus maps.
