Fall 2022 Homecoming Elections
Congratulations on your decision to pursue a position in the Middle Tennessee State University Homecoming Court Elections. As a prospective candidate, listed below are a few important dates that you should be aware of. These dates reflect the times that will be necessary to ensure a successful campaign for this Homecoming Election.
Criteria for Homecoming King and Queen
- Must have at least a 2.3 cumulative GPA
- Must have earned at least 60 University credit hours

August 29 |
Potential Candidate Election Packets Available: Can be checked out from August 29 – September 6 from 9:00 a.m.-4:00 p.m. in Student Union 330. Note: Packets will only be available until 3:30pm on September 6th. |
September 6 | Completed Potential Candidate Packets are due to Student Union 330 by 4:00 p.m. |
September 8 | Candidates eligible to run for Homecoming Court will be announced by this date. Eligible and non-eligible candidates will be notified via e-mail. |
September 9 | Homecoming candidates’ banner and tabling sign-ups start. Sign up between September 9- September 15 from 9:00 a.m.-4:00 p.m. in Student Union 330. Sign up early to ensure tabling space. |
September 13 | Homecoming Candidates’ Mandatory Meeting and Campaign Workshop from 6pm to 8pm in the Student Union Parliamentary Room (SU 201). *Photos for the voting ballot will also be taken during this time. |
September 15 | Candidate banners due by 4:00pm in Student Union 330 |
September 16 | Candidate campaigning can commence starting at 12:01 a.m. |
September 26 | Voting opens at 10:00 a.m. |
September 29 | Voting closes at 11:45 p.m. |
September 30 | Homecoming Court Elections Results posted by noon outside of: Student Union 330 |
