The QEP Committee is charged with playing a vital role in MTSU’s reaccreditation process by recommending a topic for the university’s new Quality Enhancement Plan (QEP) that focuses on improving student learning. The QEP is a requirement from our accreditor, the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC). SACSCOC requires that the university fully implement a Quality Enhancement Plan within five years of reaccreditation, which will be reviewed by SACS at the institution’s reaffirmation.  After topic selection, the QEP Topic Selection Committee will also play a vital role in the development of the larger QEP plan, which includes development of student learning outcomes, program goals, and a plan to assess the QEP as well as a role in the SACSCOC on-site review in Spring 2016.
