The mission of the Division of Academic Affairs is to provide quality academic programs consistent with the University's mission. To accomplish this mission, the Office of the University Provost provides leadership and management to support instruction, research, public service, institutional effectiveness, international affairs, and student success.
In addition to providing quality academic programs, the Office of the University Provost provides a variety of support services to faculty and administrators including the administration of and/or assistance with:
- Undergraduate and Graduate Catalogs
- Faculty Awards and Grants
- Curriculum Changes
- Standing Committees
- Technology Access Fee Funds
- Allocation of Classroom and Office Space
- Budgeting and Travel
- Faculty Recruitment, Workload Guidelines and related forms
- Tenure and Promotion
The office oversees a variety of special projects including coordination of implementation of the Academic Master Plan, faculty development, and Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC) reaccreditation.
Our offices, located in rooms 110 and 111 of the Cope Administration Building, are open from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.
